About Mecall me michael
This is my bio – I’m a full time freelance illustrator residing in the Denver metro area. After almost a quarter decade as a full time designer for Hallmark and American Greetings, I am my own boss, designing and illustrating for corporations and agencies, big and small; as well as working for individuals (i.e. portraiture and fine art, album art). Clients include, and aren’t limited to: American Greetings, Primal Wear, Wall Street Journal, Oxford University Press, McGraw-Hill, Mattel, Hasbro, StoneRaven, etc. I’ve done album and poster art for Laroy & Co, Gold Hill, Clark Colborn, Tomorrow At Dawn, Steely Dan Morris.
When not doing art I spend my time riding my bike and hiking in and around the mountains of Colorado; and I continue to exercise my frustration while learning to play the guitar. I’m an avid reader, movie watcher, concert goer, and explorer of new adventures – about the only thing I disdain is the need for sleep – a necessary evil that takes away too much of the day.
